The UCLA Faculty Center has a wide range of rooms and setups available for hosting meetings, lectures, conferences, weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs and other celebrations.  At competitive prices and with a wide range of options, the UCLA Faculty Center is the perfect venue for your next event!

Our meeting and events services include served dinners, buffet dining, hors d’œuvres, sweet treats, and break time offerings. All our rooms have attached patios that guests can enjoy as well. Each room is set up for projection and sound, and our helpful staff is ready to attend to your meeting needs. If you’re looking for a more intimate space in which to host business discussions and lunch meetings, we have an array of smaller rooms.

In preparation for the event we will meet with you to ensure that every detail of the day will be as you wish. Our buffet prices are based on a one-hour cocktail reception and four hours of dinner and dancing.

Wedding Policies

Wedding Policies at the UCLA Faculty Center


Deposits, cancellations & payments

 
1. A minimum of $2,500 non-refundable deposit or 20% of the total banquet cost, whichever is greater, is due at the time of signing the reservation agreement.
 
2. 75% of the total estimated charges is required at least 90 days prior to the banquet. An estimated number of guests must be given at the time of reservation. A guaranteed number of guests must be confirmed at least ten (10) business days prior to the scheduled event.
 
3. An estimated number of guests must be given at the time of reservation. A guaranteed number of guests must be confirmed ten (10) business days prior to the event. Changes made up to 72 hours prior to event are subject to availability and may incur a late change fee. All changes made within 72 hours may not be honored and are based on availability.
 
4. Cancellation of the booked event must be confirmed in writing.
 

Ceremony fee and rental fee

The ceremony fee starts at $900. Room rental starts at $1800 and varies based on room. Charges vary based on location and guest count.
 

Food and beverage

1. All food and beverage served must be furnished by the Faculty Center. Outside food and beverages are not permitted anywhere on the Faculty Center premises unless pre-authorized. A beverage minimum of $750 is required for full service bars.
 
2. Current California sales tax will apply to all food, beverage and rentals.

3. Due to California Health Code regulations, buffet service time is a maximum of 2 hours
 
4. Due to California Health Code regulations, and to protect our food and beverage license, all food and beverage items prepared by the Faculty Center that are not consumed will remain the property of the Faculty Center.
 
5. A beverage minimum of 7350 is required for full service bars.

6. One bar set up is required for every 100 guests. Applicable charges apply.
 


Parking

The Faculty Center does not have its own parking. To make partking arrangements for your guests and vendors please contact Campus Parking Services directly. These special arrangements require a signed agreement and a confirmation number at least two weeks in advance. Lot A and/or Parking Structure 2 are the closest and best-recommended locations to the Faculty Center.

Equipment/additional charges


1. The Faculty Center is not responsible for any outside rental equipment. A handling fee will be charged for storage provided per agreed terms.

2. The Faculty Center wedding linen colors are:
White or ivory tablecloths and one (1) choice of selected napkin colors
Additional tablecloth colors are available at $30 per item per table. 


Miscellaneous


1. Music or other types of entertainment must be agreed upon prior to your event. Outside entertainment must end by 10:00 PM.
 
2. Confetti is not allowed at the Faculty Center. A cleanup fee of minimum $500 will apply for any unauthorized decorations.

3. Nothing shall be posted, pinned, taped on any of the Faculty Center walls. Any damage to the walls will be added to the event or member account at a charge of minimum $500.
 
4. Gratuities are not accepted at the Faculty Center; however, donations are welcomed.

5. Policies, menus, and prices are subject to change. Please call for an updated list or request one at club@ucla.edu.

6. A guest surcharge of $1 per person is added to all events. For member/sponsored member and non-member special events, and additional 18% surcharge will apply.

7. All candles ust be contained or enclosed in glass. The flame must not reach higher than 2 inches below the height of the glass.

8. All liquor must be provided by the Faculty Center. The bar closes at 11 pm. Alcohol may not be served to minors. Illegal substances are not allowed at any time on the premises. Drunken/violent disturbances are prohibited and subject to immediate removal from the premises and possible termination of the event without any refund.

9. This venue uses live video and still photography to assist with promotion of the venue. All photos taken at the UCLA Faculty Center by your photographer will also become the property of the Center and may be used for promotional purposes.

10. The person arranging for the wedding is responsible for any damaged, stolen or lost equipment or furnishings. Charges will be based upon the actual cost of the items replaced.

11. All music must end by 10 pm on weekends and weekdays in all outdoor areas to comply with the city's noise ordinances.

A Bar or Bat Mitzvah is an extraordinary milestone in a young person’s life, and the Faculty Center is the perfect venue to help you turn your vision into reality.  We provide a wide selection of menus and options that can be customized to suit your tastes and needs. Our rooms can be transformed to become your own fantastic private party that will be memorable for both you and your guests, complete with music, a live band, a photo booth, or an ice cream sundae bar.    
 
Your event will begin with an hour of a cocktail and tray-passed canapés reception, outdoors on one of our patios adjacent to the room selected.  Full bar services are available for your adult guests, and children will have a selection of soft drinks, juices, regular and flavored mineral waters to choose from.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Policies

A Bar or Bat Mitzvah is an extraordinary milestone in a young person’s life, and the Faculty Center is the perfect venue to help you turn your vision into reality.  

We provide a wide selection of menus and options that can be customized to suit your tastes and needs. Our rooms can be transformed to become your own fantastic private party that will be memorable for both you and your guests, complete with music, a live band, a photo booth, or an ice cream sundae bar.    

Your event will begin with a cocktail and passed hors d’oeuvres reception outdoors in our Rose Garden Patio. Full bar service is available for your adult guests’ pleasure, and children may have an extensive selection of soft drinks, juices, and regular and flavored mineral waters to choose from.


Event Policies

 

Food and Beverage

 
The Faculty Center must supply all food and beverage. Bar to close at 11:00pm. Illegal substances not permitted at any time on the premises. Drunken/Violent disturbances are subject to immediate removal from the premises and possible termination of the event without refund.  
 
Food safety is a high priority at UCLA Faculty Center. In adherence with the local Health Department regulations, it is our strict policy that there will be no removal of food allowed, nor credit given nor carry out allowed of perishable food or any food not consumed at any event. Therefore, we reserve the right to deny the supply or removal of leftover food by the customer. For your safety, food that needs to be hot or cold is to be removed after a limit of one and a half hours. California Health Code regulations limit buffet service time to maximum of two hours.  All food and beverage items prepared by the Faculty Center but not consumed will remain the property of the Faculty Center.
 
We recommend one bartender for every 100 guests. There is a bar setup charge of $50 per bar, as well as a bartender charge of $55 per bartender per hour, for a minimum of two hours each bar. A minimum of $850 in bar sales is required for full service bars in bar sales.
 
Charges for the cocktails and drinks will be by consumption: you pay only for what your guests enjoy. Four to six pieces of hors d’oeuvres per person is recommended for the cocktail reception, and you may choose as many as six different items to be served.
 

Adults' Meals and Children’s Menus

 
Adults’ meals can be waiter-served for a maximum of two different entrées and vegetarian options are available for an additional $8 plating fee per person.
 
All meals must be pre-ordered at least two weeks in advance. On the day of the event. Colored meal tickets must be issued to your event guests prior to a meal service and must be placed visible above the place setting.
 
Bar/Bat Mitzvah cost will depend on the quantity and price of your food and beverage selections.  Current sales tax and a guest service charge of 18% will be added to all food and beverage prices.
 

Room Set-up

 
Room set-up will include round tables of 10-12 guests, and your choice of linen colors. Standard charge is $30 per table, which covers tablecloth and napkins. Other charges may apply for specialty linen. A standard charge of $1,000 setup and cleanup will apply to all events.
 
Rental pick up must be at the end of the event. Next day pick up must be before 9:00am to avoid $150 late fee for each thirty minutes after 9am. A $250 late fee will apply to each pick up for every thirty minutes past 10am.
 

Parking Arrangements

 
The Faculty Center does not have its own parking. To make parking arrangements for your guests and vendors please contact “Campus Parking Services” directly. These special arrangements require a signed agreement and a confirmation number at least two weeks in advance.  Lot A and/or Parking Structure # 2 are the closest and best-recommended locations to the Faculty Center.

Safety and Security

 
Having security personnel during your event is required. One security person is recommended for every 60 children (ages 4-16). You may hire security personnel directly from outside sources. Please coordinate with your event coordinator for suggestions.
 

Deposits and Final Payments

 
A non-refundable deposit of 25% or $2,000 - whichever is greater - is required to reserve space for any event at the Faculty Center. The total balance owing of all estimated fees is due at least 15 business days prior to the event.
 
Details for all events, including but not limited to the guaranteed number of guests, room setup, equipment, and menus must be submitted to the Faculty Center at no less than four weeks prior to the event date.
 

Miscellaneous

The person arranging for the event is responsible for any damaged, stolen of lost equipment or furnishings. No adhesive hooks, nothing allowed to be posted or pinned on walls or ceiling of the Faculty Center. Any damage, cost will be added to the event member’s account. Charges based on the actual cost of the items replaced at a minimum charge of $800.
 
Cleaning the event location and discarding the trash at the end of any planned event is the responsibly of the event organizer. Should the event location require any additional cleaning it is at the sole discretion of the ULCA Faculty Center/UCLA Designated Space Administrator.
 
If any additional heavy cleaning were required at the location of the event, the event organizer would incur the charges for any resulting cleanup cost and equipment rental for cleanup.
 
A guest surcharge of $1.00 per person will be added to all events.  For member/sponsored member and non-member “special” events, an additional eighteen percent (18%) surcharge will be applied. Gratuities are not accepted at the Faculty Center; however, donations are welcomed
 
Candles: All candles must be contained or enclosed in glass. The flame must not reach higher than 2 inches below the height of the glass.
 
The Faculty Center uses live, video and still photography to assist with promotion of the venue. All photos taken at The Faculty Center by your photographer will be the property of the center, and also will be used for promotional purposes. 
 
All music must end by 10pm weekends and weekdays in all outdoor areas to comply with city’s noise ordinances.

Full Service Bar

Policies

Full service bars consist of liquor, assorted domestic and imported beers, soft drinks, mineral waters and fruit juices and must have a bartender. 
All alcoholic beverages served must be furnished by the Faculty Center, and removing them from the building is strictly prohibited. 
A beverage minimum of $350 is required for all full-service bars set ups. 
Premium Liquor may be requested for an additional charge.

Bartenders

Bartenders are required for all full-service bars. We recommend one (1) bartender for every 75 guests.

Event Policies

UCLA Faculty Center Event Policies   


Room Reservations:

1. Courtesy hold is for 48 hours only, after which the space will automatically be released without prior notice.

2. 
All charges incurred by Faculty Center members will be billed directly to their membership account. For business and social events, a pre-approved department account may be used. For all personal reservations, an open credit card must be on file to reserve function space.  

3. The Faculty Center reserves the right to select and provide the most appropriate room available for each event, and the current room rate will apply.

4. Events held in the Faculty Center must not be advertised as open to the public. Press notices may mention the location but must say “By Invitation Only”.

5. Quoted room rental fees and food and beverage minimums will be determined based on guest count, room, type of event and event duration. Minimums will be confirmed at the time of booking. A minimum of $350 labor fee is required to reserve a small private dinning room with meals, $750 for large rooms, and $2000 for the Main Dining Room. 

6. If you reserve a room, should there be adjoining patio, it is included in your rental fee.

7. Details for all events, including but not limited to the guaranteed number of guests, room setup, equipment, and menus must be submitted to the Faculty Center at no less than ten (10) business days prior to the event date. Any request submitted fewer than ten (10) business days prior to event will be handled based upon availability.

8. Overtime charges will be incurred on functions lasting beyond our regular posted business hours or beyond the agreed finish time.

9. The minimum overall rental value for the Main Dining Room is $4500 on weekdays. On weekends, the value is $6500.

10. The minimum overall rental value for any room is $3500 on weekends. On holiday weekends, the value is $4500.


Food and Beverage:

1. All food and beverage served must be furnished by the Faculty Center. Outside food and beverage are not allowed anywhere on the Faculty Center premises unless pre-authorized.

2. California sales tax will apply to all food and beverage prices.

3. A beverage minimum of $350 is required for full service bars. One bartender is required for every 100 guests.

4. A minimum of 12 guests per entrée is required for all events. Any event less than 35 guests will be offered a  “Chef’s Choice” menu.

5. Due to California Health Code regulations, all food and beverage items prepared by the Faculty Center that are not consumed will remain the property of the Faculty Center.

6. Due to California Health Code regulations, buffet service time is a maximum of 2 hours.


Equipment/Additional Charges:

1. A guest surcharge of $1 per person will be added for all events.  For member/sponsored non-member events, an additional 18% charge will be applied.

2. The Faculty Center is not responsible for any outside rental equipment. A handling fee will be charged for storage provided per agreed terms.

3. The Faculty Center utilizes UCLA colors as standard linen colors :

  • Wedgewood Blue Table Cloths and Gold Napkins
  • Additional colors and special size table linen are available
  • Fees for all Table Cloths will apply, napkins are included

4. There is a labor fee of $150 and up for the breakdown of any equipment that has already been set up for the event.

5. Any equipment brought into the Faculty Center must be set up by the client directly. The Faculty Center is not responsible nor liable for the setup of any outside equipment.


Guarantees, Deposits, and Cancellations:

1. An estimated number of guests must be given at the time of reservation. A guaranteed number of guests must be confirmed ten (10) business days prior to the event. Changes made up to 72 hours prior to event are subject to availability and may incur a late change fee. All changes made within 72 hours may not be honored and are based on availability.

2. Deposits are required to confirm any reservation. The deposit amount is either the room rental or twenty-five percent (25%) of the total estimated charges, whichever is greater. Please note all deposits include a $350 non-refundable administrative fee. If you cancel your event, you will receive the balance less the administrative fee as follows:

3. Advance non-refundable deposits may be transferable to events rescheduled within the same month and year.

4. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing, or the agreed full amount will be charged. In the event of a "no-show", the agreed full amount will be charged.


Miscellaneous:

1. All Parking arrangements are made for events directly with campus parking services.  Please call 310.825.1286 or email parkingoperations@ts.ucla.edu.

2. Music or other types of entertainment must be agreed upon prior to your event. Outside entertainment must end by 10:00 PM.

3. Confetti is not allowed at the Faculty Center. A clean up fee of minimum $500 will apply for any unauthorized decorations or materials.

4. Nothing shall be posted, pinned, taped on any of the Faculty Center walls. Any damage to the walls will be added to the event or member account at a charge of minimum $500.

5. Gratuities are not accepted at the Faculty Center; however, donations are welcomed.

Full Service Bar

Policies

Full service bars consist of liquor, assorted domestic and imported beers, soft drinks, mineral waters and fruit juices and must have a bartender. 
All alcoholic beverages served must be furnished by the Faculty Center, and removing them from the building is strictly prohibited. 
A beverage minimum of $350 is required for all full-service bars set ups. 
Premium Liquor may be requested for an additional charge.

Bartenders

Bartenders are required for all full-service bars. We recommend one (1) bartender for every 75 guests.

Event Policies

UCLA Faculty Center Event Policies   


Room Reservations:

1. Courtesy hold is for 48 hours only, after which the space will automatically be released without prior notice.

2. 
All charges incurred by Faculty Center members will be billed directly to their membership account. For business and social events, a pre-approved department account may be used. For all personal reservations, an open credit card must be on file to reserve function space.  

3. The Faculty Center reserves the right to select and provide the most appropriate room available for each event, and the current room rate will apply.

4. Events held in the Faculty Center must not be advertised as open to the public. Press notices may mention the location but must say “By Invitation Only”.

5. Quoted room rental fees and food and beverage minimums will be determined based on guest count, room, type of event and event duration. Minimums will be confirmed at the time of booking. A minimum of $350 labor fee is required to reserve a small private dinning room with meals, $750 for large rooms, and $2000 for the Main Dining Room. 

6. If you reserve a room, should there be adjoining patio, it is included in your rental fee.

7. Details for all events, including but not limited to the guaranteed number of guests, room setup, equipment, and menus must be submitted to the Faculty Center at no less than ten (10) business days prior to the event date. Any request submitted fewer than ten (10) business days prior to event will be handled based upon availability.

8. Overtime charges will be incurred on functions lasting beyond our regular posted business hours or beyond the agreed finish time.

9. The minimum overall rental value for the Main Dining Room is $4500 on weekdays. On weekends, the value is $6500.

10. The minimum overall rental value for any room is $3500 on weekends. On holiday weekends, the value is $4500.


Food and Beverage:

1. All food and beverage served must be furnished by the Faculty Center. Outside food and beverage are not allowed anywhere on the Faculty Center premises unless pre-authorized.

2. California sales tax will apply to all food and beverage prices.

3. A beverage minimum of $350 is required for full service bars. One bartender is required for every 100 guests.

4. A minimum of 12 guests per entrée is required for all events. Any event less than 35 guests will be offered a  “Chef’s Choice” menu.

5. Due to California Health Code regulations, all food and beverage items prepared by the Faculty Center that are not consumed will remain the property of the Faculty Center.

6. Due to California Health Code regulations, buffet service time is a maximum of 2 hours.


Equipment/Additional Charges:

1. A guest surcharge of $1 per person will be added for all events.  For member/sponsored non-member events, an additional 18% charge will be applied.

2. The Faculty Center is not responsible for any outside rental equipment. A handling fee will be charged for storage provided per agreed terms.

3. The Faculty Center utilizes UCLA colors as standard linen colors :

  • Wedgewood Blue Table Cloths and Gold Napkins
  • Additional colors and special size table linen are available
  • Fees for all Table Cloths will apply, napkins are included

4. There is a labor fee of $150 and up for the breakdown of any equipment that has already been set up for the event.

5. Any equipment brought into the Faculty Center must be set up by the client directly. The Faculty Center is not responsible nor liable for the setup of any outside equipment.


Guarantees, Deposits, and Cancellations:

1. An estimated number of guests must be given at the time of reservation. A guaranteed number of guests must be confirmed ten (10) business days prior to the event. Changes made up to 72 hours prior to event are subject to availability and may incur a late change fee. All changes made within 72 hours may not be honored and are based on availability.

2. Deposits are required to confirm any reservation. The deposit amount is either the room rental or twenty-five percent (25%) of the total estimated charges, whichever is greater. Please note all deposits include a $350 non-refundable administrative fee. If you cancel your event, you will receive the balance less the administrative fee as follows:

3. Advance non-refundable deposits may be transferable to events rescheduled within the same month and year.

4. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing, or the aggreed full amount will be charged. In the event of a "no-show", the agreed full amount will be charged.


Miscellaneous:

1. All Parking arrangements are made for events directly with campus parking services.  Please call 310.825.1286 or email parkingoperations@ts.ucla.edu.

2. Music or other types of entertainment must be agreed upon prior to your event. Outside entertainment must end by 10:00 PM.

3. Confetti is not allowed at the Faculty Center. A clean up fee of minimum $500 will apply for any unauthorized decorations or materials.

4. Nothing shall be posted, pinned, taped on any of the Faculty Center walls. Any damage to the walls will be added to the event or member account at a charge of minimum $500.

5. Gratuities are not accepted at the Faculty Center; however, donations are welcomed.

6. Policies, menus, and prices are subject to change. Please call for an updated list, or email us at club@ucla.edu.
